An attempt was made to put a feeding tube into Willem's intestines, through his stomach but the HLH has caused a new stricture which is why he had been throwing up. The last bit of hope I had for his recovery went with this news. All we have left to hang on to now is that the bone marrow transplant actually happens and then that it works. I am feeling numb and hopeless.
Tom and Erin - although we dont comment much on blog posts or Facebook updates, please know we are constantly keeping updated and praying for Willem and all of you. Jill and Greg Reichardt
ReplyDeleteI know it's hard right now, and I am amazed that the military allowed you to stay with you son through this difficult time but never ever give up hope because Willem depends on you so much. He depends on you to be strong for him.
ReplyDeleteWe're thinking and praying for you. It's tough to stay strong...but keep the faith.
ReplyDeleteMaking me cry...praying for you guys. And like Freya said, be grateful that you can be there for him, count your blessings though they seem few and far between. Don't lose hope. The Rentz family is constantly thinking about you guys.
